Natural Traits
Aside from the types of manes, horns, ears, and tails you can use on your Mawmaws; here are some non-ascended traits that you can use on your Mawmaws in addition to the others! These are all uncommon traits in Mawmaws, but can be used on any Mawmaw; natural or otherwise!
Fur Tufts: Common
Sparse Scales: Uncommon
Mawmaws may have patches of scales over the body, as shown on the left; or they may have overlapping scales which run up the arms and legs, down the belly, or back in a style similar to what's shown on the right! Note that these scales will never completely cover the body at any time, and to do so would be a mutation for sure!
Tusks and Fangs: Uncommon
Mawmaws naturally do not have many teeth, as their mouths are hard enough to act like a sort of beak with their rigid 'sawtooth' shaped lips. Some, however, have tusks or fangs that protrude from the mouth in various shapes and sizes. If you look hard enough, you might even find a Mawmaw with large saber fangs... or snaggle teeth!
Extra Spines: Uncommon
Typically, Mawmaws have 3 to 6 spines on the backside. Some, however, may have small spines that run the length of the back, appear on the elbows and ankles, or in parts like the chin, lower jaw, and even on the tip of the nose. These spines are usually pretty small, even in comparison to the spines on the back, and cannot be found anywhere on the body outside of the places listed above!
No Spines: Rare
Although it's a scarcity, some mawmaws are born without the spines on their back! It's a physical trait more typical with younger generations of mawmaw, and some speculate that, with time, it will become standard for the species to evolve beyond the vestiges of their dragon-like ancestry and simply not have spines.
Feathers and Quills: Rare
Feathers and quills are a unique physical feature on mawmaws, as it traces back to their winged ancestors! Although mawmaws don't have to be winged in order to have feathers or quills, this trait is less common on those without wings. Bird-like feathers may cover any part of a mawmaw's body, though it cannot be made into actual wings.
