MESAYA
Home of the Mawmaws
The world of Mesaya is an ancient one, said to have been birthed by the magic of the reverent themselves. It is the home of the mawmaws and their ancestors, as well as the grave of a race of ancient humans that once inhabited it. Though small, Mesaya is full of magic and legends that make it a place worth exploring. Many mawmaws today travel by land, sea, and sky to seek new places to settle- and because of this their world grows each and every day!
The planet, as mentioned, is quite small. It orbits around a large sun and has three moons. Its land mass is divided up into four continents, Urth, Altath, Ilith, and Aris. There are numerous biomes across all of the continents, and many towns and cities which were constructed by the mawmaws who survived after the Great Fall.

Continents and Cities
URTH
⊙ Monmuth: A small town with a relatively small population mostly made up of explorers, treasure hunters, and big game hunters/trappers. It is located in the northern part of Urth, in the middle of its vast tundra biome. It is one of the coldest towns on Mesaya!
⊚ Tanden: A larger city built in the pine forests of northern Urth, bordered by Sashari Lake. It is one of the six major cities on Mesaya and has a very large and diverse population! Tanden is home to Sanctuary; a massive shrine and garden where mawmaws come to visit to leave gifts for the gods.
⊙ Arkney: Another small town that's located in the forested areas of Urth; it is a bit southwest of Tanden, and is used as a frequent resting point for mawmaws who are coming and going between Tanden and Landow. Despite how busy Arkney gets at times depending on how many maws are passing through, its local population is quite small.
⊚ Landow: A larger town built on the border of Aser Lake. It is built in the small bit of plains biome in Urth, in the warmer part of the continent. As such, it's slightly bigger than the other non-major towns, and a bit more popular with travelers from other parts of Mesaya.

ALTATH
⊚ Pyrwood: One of the six major cities on Mesaya, it's located in the large forests of northern Altath. Although it has a large population, Pyrwood is difficult to travel to thanks to the mountains that divide Altath's northern and southern halves. Pyrwood is home to Dakari City; an abandoned underground city near the coast.
⊚ Damerel: A large town located in the planes just south of Altath's mountainous area. It's got a large population that matches that of the main six cities, and is a beautiful oasis town of luxury homes and this seems to draw quite the colorful crowd. It's most well known for its exotic shops and colorful parades!
⊚ Yarrin: Another of the main six cities; Yarrin is a hot, dry desert town with the second-smallest population of all the major cities. It is a ruthless place to live, and yet mawmaws from all over are drawn to this place. Stories speak of incredible treasures hidden in the desert sands...
⊙ Jovill: A tiny town on the southern peninsula, which acts as a decent fishing and sailing town far away from the rest of the world. The climate here is quite warm and wet, but the weather isn't so bad. It makes Jovill a great place to retire... or relax!
⊙ Ju'uls: A particularly small town on an island just off the coast of southern Altath, It's a prime place to live for people who want to live 'wild' or 'off the grid' and spend their days hunting, fishing, and working in a small community. The town itself has a small population, which is made up of even smaller collectives of mawmaws called villages.

ILITH
⊙ Umin: The second smallest town in all of Mesaya; it is a town built along the beach of the 'mouth' of Ilith. It's mostly a fishing town, as anything beyond the beach is dense jungles- and who knows what you'll find out there. Homes here are small and spaced rather far apart. a lot of mawmaw find it an unfavorable location because of the heat, humidity, and space.
⊚ Vundel: A large town built just outside of the dense jungles on Ilith. It is home to a lot of Mesaya's largest farms thanks to the flat lands and fertile soil, coupled with the immense rainfall they get from the jungle! The people of Vundel are not so keen on travel, as most of the roads cut close to the badlands.
⊙ Keles: All that remains of the ruined ancient capital city of Mesaya; which was destroyed during the Great Fall. The badlands is a place that's inhospitable and mostly unsuitable for life; so not many maws live here- but some are just too stubborn to leave, and it serves as a grim reminder of what happened those thousands of years ago...
⊛ Arline: The new capital City of Mesaya! Close to the coast, between the desert and the forest of southern Ilith, Arline is a city unlike any other. It was built up from an old human city, much like the others; but now serves as the new world capital. The population here is beyond any other city, and is full of many mawmaws of all kinds!
⊙ Grimsby: A tiny outpost hidden in the wooded area just outside of Arline. The town is small and tucked away in a way that makes it tough to find. There are not many mawmaws here, and many legends of spooky things that live in these woods. Most mawmaws are wise and stay away from Grimsby, but some like the old timey feel of the place.
⊚ Ilira: A big city just beyond the mountains that split Ilith from Aris. It's home to some of the tallest mountains in all of Mesaya, and draws a crowd of expert trailblazers, explorers, and thrill seekers from all over the place! The city is most well known for its silver streets, all made from ores found in the mountains.

ARIS
⊙ Lyrhurst: A small town in the mountains of the northern part of Aris. It's home to many places where respects are paid to mawmaws long gone from this world. It's quiet, and some consider it a dark and dreary place to live; many find it to be a good place to connect to lost loved ones. It is fairly cool here.
⊚ Duskfell: A larger town in the southernmost part of the world. It is the coldest city to live in, and is almost always blanketed in snow and ice. It is one of only two places to have been settled on Aris and only because it is home to Twilight Castle; a hub for those interested in astronomy and stars.

Biomes
-
After the fall of the ancient mawmaws, the species became well adapted to a life on solid ground. Their bodies became compact and robust, their paws much larger and more equipped for different types of terrain. Their muscles became more suitable for walking vast distances, and although there are some mawmaws who are capable of flight- the majority of them travel on foot.
Because Mesaya is a small world, it's quite easy for small groups and caravans to travel between cities within a matter of days or weeks. Of course, any place further away would take a longer time to get to on foot, especially depending on the terrain between the cities and the health of the traveling group.
However, there are other ways that mawmaws have learned to use to get to new places outside of walking. As mentioned, some mawmaws still have the ability to fly- and although their bodies aren't quite as built for flight as their ancestors, they can still make use of their wings as a mode of transportation that is much faster than walking. And with adapting to a life on land, mawmaws built boats that allowed them to sail the seas and make their way to new lands to found cities on the other continents! By land, by air, or by sea, the mawmaws have managed to find many ways to get around on their world.
